This was a hard week. It felt like everything was against me and everything was going wrong. The Mother Theresa quote kept coming to mind: "I know God won't give me more than I can handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much." I was down in the dumps and didn't have any motivation to train. But I made myself do it, and I'm really glad I did.

This week's workouts consisted of 4 runs; 1 outdoor with steep hills, 3 on the treadmill including a tempo run and 2 with steep incline. I spent 5 hours and 10 minutes on the bike trainer focusing on long intervals at a moderate-hard pace. I also did 2 core and strength workouts. Though my overall volume is low for me, my intensity has been high and I can feel it. I think it's time for an easier week.
