Damn it feels good to be a gangster
Another great training week is done! The pictures above are from the 2013 Great Adventure Challenge. The lower picture is from the mountain climb leg of the race, where I was the fastest woman in the 35 and over group. Above that I'm receiving my award for second place woman 35 and over. Had my derailer not broken during the mountain bike portion of the race, I most likely would have been the fastest 35 and over on the bike leg, and first place 35 and over. Still a pretty gangsta day.
This week's training included 5 hours on the bike trainer. I worked on standing intervals and long intervals at a moderate-hard pace. I did 4 runs for a total of 28 miles. 3 runs were on the treadmill, including one with VO2 max intervals and 2 done at a high incline. My one outdoor run was 8 miles with very steep hills. I did some quality core work as well. My body is quite tired. Feels
